   right, Michael, goin; out in the garden to try my first ever painting! Will let you know how I get along. Have no linseed oil… will use something else. Have two hours of daylight left… Thanks a million, brilliant lesson, enjoyed it tremendously. You’re an excellent teacher. Warmest regards, Lyn

   I said at that part “you gotta get that tonal value right things in the distance are lighter and gradually get dark as they come to you” sorry about my southern accent gets in the way sometimes.

    I have read where others say it will I have never tried it, but I think you could achieve it you would need to make sure you use a fairly thick base acrylic to start with.

    they do make water mixable oils you can use water to dilute but I like traditional oils the best. that’s just my opinion.

    yes when you use oil paint you need some sort of cleaner, water and soap
    will not clean the same as a thinner, I Use Turpenoid, it is a turpentine substitute. with no odor you want to use an artist grade of thinner. But there are all kinds of paint thinners and cleaners out there.
